Poetry Collection

This poem was inspired by a concert I attended where the song “Nirvana” was performed, followed by “Mania,” by the artist, Madeon.

Written for a poetry class at K-State, this poem echoes sentiments of our struggles with infertility, in addition to it's assigned topic of "how to" do something.

This is one of many poems I have written about depression. It can either be enlightening for someone who has never experienced it, or validating for someone who is going through it.

I dedicated this poem to the elusive cone flower, or echinacea, which I have attempted to grow several times.

This poem was written just after our Pekin duck, Loulou, passed away. It was a time of mourning, yet the mornings brought me peace.

This poem was written in the car as I was passing the snow-painted forests that framed the desolate-looking crop fields.
