My interpersonal and customer service skills have been fine-tuned during over ten years of hospital administrative experience and eight years of entrepreneurship as owner of Shannon Brooks Photography. I am very well organized and love planning all necessary tasks to complete a project. I excel in creative problem solving and have a passion for learning details.

As a writer, I am able to communicate clearly, review and edit critically, meet deadlines, and devise creative plans to suit the needs of my client or employers. Through careful listening and detailed note taking, I can assist in organizing facts and help with storytelling for memoirs, biographies, and additionally, write commissioned pieces, news articles, or opinion editorials.

Shannon Brooks Photography - Sole Proprietor and Photographer | Greenfield, IN

As sole proprietor, I maintained all records of all income and expenses for tax purposes.  I have developed marketing plans, and improved client relations with both written and verbal communications. My photography business has focused on family and children’s portraits, maternity, and special events such as weddings and graduations, and large events such as formal military balls, and community center events.


July 2015 - July 2016

Sales Associate & Event Planner - Pilot Knob Vineyard | Bertram, TX
As a part-time, seasonal employee, I conducted wine tastings, assembled food trays, and cleaned the venue after events. I coordinated the Annual ‘Sip & Shop’ Event, secured and organized vendors and deposits as well as designing the product layouts.

 

January 2010 – November 2010

Patient Service Specialist and Physical Therapy Aide- Select Physical Therapy | Indianapolis, IN   

I checked patients in and out, scheduled appointments, verified insurance benefits and authorizations, managed supply inventory, processed payments and deposits, and performed other general office duties. Cleaned exercise equipment, guided patients through exercises, and applied post-therapy heat or ice.

I was responsible for unloading, sorting, and dispersing product to the sales floor within time constraints given while ensuring safety and timeliness of product in-stock.
 

August 2002 – February 2009

Case Management Team Member - Community Health Network | Indianapolis, IN 

I was the primary point of contact for the case management office requiring a wide variety of interpersonal communications and computer database skills.  I was responsible for social services related inquiries, employee support, coordinating vacation schedules, managing timecards for payroll, as well as assisting RN Case Managers and Social Workers to facilitate patient discharges in a timely manner.
