Meet the Author

Hi, I'm Shannon!
I'm a published author and native Hoosier, currently living in a suburb of Indianapolis, IN.
My experience in writing expands across multiple genres including fiction, non-fiction, personal essays, opinion pieces, and poetry.

In 2013, while living in Kansas, I placed first in Kansas State University's literary magazine in Creative Non-Fiction with a personal essay titled Finding Time, which reflected on my grandmother's Alzheimer's and my connection with her.

I have been published twice in Indiana University East's literary journal, "Tributaries," for two poems and a short story, as well as an opinion piece for the Greenfield Daily Reporter, in 2025. I am currently working on a poetry collection, finishing my bachelor's degree at Indiana University, and working as a library assistant.
Besides writing, my hobbies are gardening, reading, photography, and spending time with my family and animals.
